Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by Pet Grief Counselling (“we”, “us”, “our”) through our website www.petgriefcounselling.com, in-person sessions at your home, our home, or online. By booking or attending any session, you agree to these Terms.

2. Services Provided
Pet grief counselling sessions, delivered in-person (at client or counsellor premises) or via secure online platforms (e.g., Zoom).

Services are supportive and non-clinical in nature. We do not offer veterinary advice, psychological diagnosis or medical treatment.

3. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to book counselling sessions.
For individuals under 18, a parent or guardian must be present.

4. Booking & Payment
All sessions must be pre-booked via our website or by direct communication.
Payment is due 48 hours prior to your appointment or your appointment cannot be guaranteed.

Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, debit/credit card, or online payment system as advertised on our website.


5. Cancellations & Refunds

Payment is due 48 hours in advance of your booking. You'll receive an email from laurel@petgriefcounselling.com with a link to PayPal to make your payment. You do not need a PayPal account to pay. 
Payment is due on receipt of the link. If payment is not received, your booking cannot be guaranteed.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable.

If I cancel a session, I will offer a full refund or reschedule at no extra cost.


6. Client Responsibilities
Clients must provide accurate and relevant information for effective support.
Any online session requires a secure, private environment to ensure confidentiality.
Clients are responsible for their own wellbeing and actions following counselling sessions.


7. Confidentiality
All sessions are private and confidential except where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, in which case we may be legally required to inform relevant authorities.

8. Limitation of Liability
Pet Grief Counselling accepts no liability for loss, damage, or emotional distress arising from sessions beyond what is required by law.
Counselling support is intended to be complementary and not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment.


We provide supportive listening and coping strategies for pet loss. We do not provide crisis intervention or emergency mental health services.

9. Insurance
We hold professional liability and public liability insurance relevant to counselling services delivered in homes and online.

10. Governing Law
The laws of England & Wales shall govern these Terms. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
